About
Built by a team lead for team leads.
How We Win is a weekly operating system for small teams. It started as a manager's document template and became a product because a document was the wrong place for a team's weekly rhythm to live.
The one-line version
Three short touchpoints a week — Monday plan, Wednesday check-in, Friday review — is enough to keep a team of 3 to 20 people aligned without adding process.
A few years ago I came across Timm Chiusiano on TikTok, talking about how he runs a very large team. He shares his frameworks openly, and when I read them I had the same reaction most team leads do: this is exactly the structure my team needs. I pulled the ideas into a document template and started filling it out every week.
It worked. We got clearer on priorities, faster at catching blockers, and more honest about what we actually shipped. But the document kept getting in the way. It didn't roll over unfinished work. It didn't track ownership. It turned into a wall of text every Monday. The more we leaned on the practice, the more I wanted a tool that was built for it.
That tool is How We Win. Same practice, built for focus and simplicity. It sits above your project tracker (Linear, Jira, Asana, GitHub) and answers the questions those tools don't: what are we focused on this week, who owns it, what's in the way, and what did we actually ship.
If you're leading a team and your weekly status lives in a document, a Slack thread, a set of 1:1 notes, and a half-tidy Jira board — this is for you. It's the system I built for my own team, and now it's here for yours.
